Refund and Returns Policy

1. Exclusive 48-Hour / 50-Mile Inspection Period

To ensure complete transparency and buyer confidence, SC Exports provides a limited Performance Verification Period for all vehicle purchases.

  • The Period: Buyers have exactly 48 hours from the moment of delivery or 50 recorded miles (whichever occurs first) to test and inspect the vehicle.

  • Coverage: This period is strictly intended to verify that the vehicle’s mechanical condition and specifications match the description provided at the time of auction.

  • Eligibility for Return: A return or price adjustment will only be considered if a major, undisclosed mechanical defect or significant discrepancy in the listing is discovered and reported within this window.

  • Voidance: This inspection period is immediately voided if the vehicle is tampered with, dismantled, modified, or driven beyond the 50-mile limit.

2. General Auction Terms: “As-Is, Where-Is”

Subject to the 48-hour inspection period mentioned above, all items—including construction machinery, tractors, and classic cars—are sold on an “As-Is, Where-Is” basis.

  • No Express Warranties: Beyond the initial inspection window, SC Exports and its vendors make no post-sale warranties regarding the future performance or “road-readiness” of used machinery or vintage vehicles.

  • Duty to Inspect: Buyers are strongly encouraged to review all provided high-resolution photos, videos, and third-party inspection reports prior to bidding.

3. Bidding and Finality of Sale

  • Binding Contract: Every bid placed on our platform is a legally binding contract. Once the hammer falls or a “Buy It Now” purchase is confirmed, the sale is final.

  • No Retractions: Bids cannot be retracted due to “buyer’s remorse” or a change in financial circumstances.

  • Restocking Fees: In the rare event that a cancellation is approved by SC Exports management outside of a mechanical defect claim, a 15% Restocking & Administrative Fee will be applied to the total hammer price.

4. International Shipping and Damage

  • Carrier Liability: SC Exports coordinates with world-class logistics partners. However, once a vehicle is handed over to the shipping line and a Bill of Lading is issued, liability for transit damage rests with the carrier.

  • Insurance: We strongly recommend that all international buyers opt for Marine Cargo Insurance to protect their investment during sea transit.

5. Title and Documentation

  • Guarantee of Ownership: We guarantee that all vehicles and machinery are sold with a clear right of transfer.

  • Documentation Delays: While we strive for immediate processing, international export documentation (Titles, Certificates of Origin, and Customs forms) may take up to 21 business days to process. A delay in paperwork is not grounds for a vehicle return.

6. Claims Process

To initiate a claim within your 48-hour window, you must:

  1. Notify us immediately via email at info@sc-exports.com with your Invoice Number.

  2. Provide Evidence: Include clear photographs or a certified mechanic’s report detailing the undisclosed defect.

  3. Maintain Condition: The vehicle must remain in the exact condition in which it was delivered.
